I'm honestly not a fan of literature. I enjoy reading philosophy and text books.
My favorite of all times. Descartes uses the method of mathematics to establish a solid foundation in philosophy. "I think, therefore I am" becomes his first axiom. While reading it, you learn to think with the rigor of a mathematician.
By reading this book, you can sense Mersault's feeling of emptiness, despite having a lover. It begins with the death of his mother and, through a series of hard events, it ends with his sentence to death after committing murder. After everything, he remains absolutely immutable. I consider this a master piece of existentialism.
